Ocean Pools

One of the beautiful things to do in the morning’s light is swim in an ocean pool. Enjoy the serenity of being next to the ocean in the many pools of the Northern Beaches.


This 20 metre rockpool is on Marine Parade, between Manly and Shelly Beach. It is triangular in shape and its ocean edge is adorned by the beautiful Sea Nymph statues that had to be replaced after the originals were damaged in storms.


Fairlight Rock Pool is located close to Manly Cove and next to Fairlight Beach. There is also a small paddling pool next to the main pool and a convenient rock platform to sit at and dry out. During summer months, a jet boat ice-cream van visits the beach to help cool beachgoers down. Situated on Fairlight Walk.


A 50 metre pool at the northern end of Manly Beach and a popular spot for locals doing lengths. It has a widened ramp access from the beach, modifications to the pool stairs and a new ladder at the deep end. 


Sited at the southern end of Collaroy Beach with easy access for people with a disability. Waves splash over the edge of the pool closest to the sea but kids can play safely in the shallows. Address: Beach Road, Collaroy.


This popular ocean pool consists of a 50 metre pool and toddlers area. A sloped entrance into the pool gives a safe and slow access for younger children while length swimmers can put in their strokes. It’s located at Carrington Parade, Curl Curl.


This 50 metre rockpool has a timber boardwalk separating the main lap pool from the rest of the pool. Located at the entrance to Narrabeen Lagoon with access off Narrabeen Park Parade. 


Based at the southern end of Bilgola Beach, the rockpool is an eight-lane, 50 metre pool with concrete walls and floor with disabilty access. The stunning setting is backed by the headland providing shelter from winds and is a great place to enjoy a sunny day. This ocean pool is at 1 The Serpentine, Bilgola.


Located at the northern end of beach, there are two rockpools - one suitable for toddlers and a larger pool measuring 30 metres for bigger kids and adults. Address: 1 Seaview Road. •
