World’s hottest musicians will be at the beach for ‘Manly Jazz 2017’
Sydney's most popular jazz festival, 'Manly Jazz', is back for 2017 over the Labour Day long weekend, with talented international and local performers jostling for your attention alongside Manly’s rolling, golden beach.
More than 800 local and international performers will boogie, groove, bebop and swing their way through the streets, laneways, cafés, bars and bistros of Australia’s most stunning beach and harbourside festival location.
'Manly Jazz' kicks off with performances from internationally-renowned musicians and climaxes with an energetic Jam Session of Jazz, blues and funk tunes with performers from bands across the weekend joining together.
Other highlights include the ‘Director’s Choice’ ticketed event featuring Eric Alexander, one of the leading talents of the modern tenor saxophone. And they will be joined by the Centenary Big Band, comprised of the best big band jazz musicians performing a tribute show to celebrate the centenary of jazz legends Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie and Buddy Rich.
