2019 Artist in Residency Opportunity
With a focus on the natural environment, sustainability and innovation, the Northern Beaches Council is currently seeking expressions of interest for their Annual Artist in Residency programs, held across two locations: Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre and the Eramboo Artist Environment, both in Terrey Hills.
These AiR Programs provide much needed opportunities for local artists across a diversity of practices including, but not limited to visual arts, sculptural, jewellery, installation, print making, screen, digital, mixed media or photography to further develop their practice, experiment and build knowledge, networks and partnerships within the local community. 2019 Artist in Residency opportunities are restricted to artists living in the Northern Beaches.
The Kimbriki Residency supports two professional artists, providing each with $3000 and free access to a nine month, non-residential studio space. This residency encourages artists with a passion for sustainable art practices and innovation, to develop a body of work entirely using resources that have been recovered from the Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre.
The Eramboo Residency supports one professional artist through a free six-month non-residential studio space at Eramboo Artist Environment and $2000 allowance for materials. This residency encourages a focus on the unique and diverse natural heritage landscapes, and native flora and fauna that surround the studios.
Applications for both residencies are now open, and can be accessed via here.
Applications close 5pm Monday 12 November.
