LOCAL SINGLES INVITED TO SPEED DATING AT GIO
Harbord Diggers’ rooftop restaurant and bar, Gio, will host a night of romance, Italian food and fun with a Notte D’Amore (Night of Love) on Wednesday 19 July. Northern Beaches singles aged over 18 are invited to enjoy a night out with friends, with speed dating hosted by LayDee KinMee.
With recent dating trends moving away from online dating apps*, singles are opting for group dating situations in a social atmosphere. The speed dating concept brings the idea of Tinder or RSVP into a real-life setting, where participants can simply shuffle left, rather than swiping through countless suitors on their phones. Dating will be segmented into 18 to 29s, 30 to 45s and 45 plus groups.
Event host, LayDee KinMee, is known for her standout performances as a yodelling drag queen from when she was on Australia’s Got Talent in 2012. Last year, LayDee was nominated for an ACE (Australian Club Entertainment) Award for Compere of the Year and has just been selected as Australian Ambassador for EuroPride 2019.
The popular Freshwater hotspot, Gio restaurant, boasts delicious southern Italian food and incredible ocean views of Freshwater Beach which makes it the perfect location for young love to bloom. Romantic hopefuls will enjoy a pre-dinner drink and two courses with an Italian entrée followed by woodfired pizzas for just $49 per person.
Harbord Diggers General Manager, Dale Hunt, said Notte D’Amore will be a fantastic night out for singles to bring their friends along and perhaps even find new love.
The event is on Wednesday 19 July, tickets are just $49 per person and includes pre-dinner drink, an entrée, woodfired pizza and speed dating. Bookings are essential. Secure your spot by calling Harbord Diggers on 02 9938 1444.
