Masks on for Manly Fundraiser
Manly Women’s Shelter is appealing to the local community to help keep its doors open, by attending and supporting its biggest fundraising event of the year.
The Manly Women’s Shelter Annual Gala Ball will be held on Saturday 3 June at the popular waterfront venue Manly Pavilion. The theme for this year’s black-tie event is ‘Masquerade’.
Manly Women’s Shelter President Julia Lever said proceeds raised would support hundreds of women on the Northern Beaches who find themselves homeless due to financial hardship, housing stress, domestic violence, family breakdown or mental health issues.
“It costs up to $500,000 each year just to keep our doors open, so we are appealing to the community for their ongoing generous support,” Ms Lever said.
“With a goal of raising $100,000 in just one night, the Gala is our single biggest fundraising event of the year and we would love to see you all there.”
Guests can enjoy a three course meal, with drinks and live entertainment, and participate in live and silent auctions. A range of auction items and experiences are up for grabs, all generously donated by local businesses and sponsors.
