In the competitive realm of real estate on the peninsula Ray White Manly remains a market leader with the successful promotion of more than 60 development projects in and around the Northern Beaches over the past 20 years.

COVERED. spoke to Adam Reeves, director, about his highly successful family business.

Working alongside his father Roy Ross for 20 years, no doubt gave Adam a special insight into the role but he says the job has altered significantly over that time.

“The biggest change would have to be the amount of agents in the area,” explains Adam.

“We have maximised the amount of development opportunities in the area.

“Manly is a very sought after place and very coveted and Manly has some of the highest sale prices on the Northern Beaches. Agents have to work very hard now and the number of agents means more competition,” he adds.

He believes real estate today is about relationship building. “Being the largest franchise operator in Australia, people just used to come to us. If you develop a good relationship that clients trust, then they bring future business to you. We are in a customer service industry, it is that simple,” he says.

Joint director of the Manly business for the past five years and with more than 20 years experience, Adam says his team gets unrivalled results.

“In addition to general residential property, we also have access to off-the-plan developments. We are not the cheapest agency however, we achieve the best possible sales results and we love what we do,” he says.

Born in Manly hospital, he has lived in the Manly area all his life because he’s never found anywhere he likes better. “I like the closeness to all the amenities, the fact you can be in the city in 20 minutes on the ferry.”

With a one-year-old taking up much of his free time now, Adam says his family loves to stay close to home. “We have the beaches, shopping and countless activities and friendships; everything we have in this area makes life good this side of the bridge.”
