Ben is Havana’s General Manager. Aged 31, he has spent 13 years working in various bars, most notably a Champagne/Cocktail bar where he learnt the fundamentals of what makes a great cocktail
Ben says cleanliness and neatness are smong his best skills. 

“I love to make any type of sour with the egg white to get that great look of the cocktail. My favourite cocktail to drink used to be a Tommy's Margarita, then it switched to a Sweet Manhattan but I’m also partial to a Blood and Sand… so just the three,” he adds.

Head bar tender Eduardo - a.k.a. Mario – 26-years-old and from Sicily. He has three years of experience as a mixologist in bars, but taught himself the foundations of bartending with literature and lots of experiments, before going on to visit a lot of mixologist masterclasses.  Loves making Tiki cocktails because he can play with a lot of flavoured spirits and juice.  His favourite cocktail to drink is a twist of a Negroni with Bulleit Whiskey and Chambord, Carpano Antica Formula and Campari

Chelsea is the Bar Unicorn. The 23-years-old has been bartending for more than four years. Her best skill is probably sculpting frozen drinks and making bad jokes and her favorite cocktail to make is a Strawberry Margarita and favorite to drink….Tommy’s Margarita or a White Russian.

William, a.k.a. Luigi, a 26-year-old, from Italia has three years of bartending experience and has done a couple of masterclasses to refine his skills. He’s especially quick at making Mojitos. Classic Cuban-Style of course! He also likes making the Zombie cocktail and enjoys Old Fashioned Cocktails.

Havana Beach's cozy Cuban atmosphere makes it one of the most popular cocktail bars on the Northern Beaches. The new cocktail menu offers a premium selection of classics and their very own twists like the Havana Sling. “Our biggest seller is the Classic Cuban Style Mojito”, says Eduardo, Head Bartender at Havana Beach, “But guests also want to try something new, something experimental. 

“Often I create a cocktail specifically for them.” To the question of why guests return Eduardo answers, laughing: “I’m from Sicily, people love my beautiful smile!”

Havana Beach prides themselves on using quality ingredients - the authentic Cuban Rum 'Havana Club’ is their house pour. “Good quality ingredients make the difference.” say Ben.

In January and February Havana Beach will be up against other local venues in the upcoming 2017 COVERED. Cocktail Battles. Havana Beach is the opening venue of the four-round competition.
