Bring in World Gin Day with a ‘Gin & Jazz’ celebration featuring a full weekend of epic events at Manly Spirits Co. Distillery in the Northern Beaches, 8-9th June. The series will include FREE gin samples, live jazz music and the ultimate masterclass for gin lovers.
Entertainment will be on offer throughout the day for all, however the masterclass headliner kicks off at 3.30pm with only 15 spaces available. A behind-the-scenes and exclusive look into the real workings of a distillery, guests will get a guided tour while learning the role aroma and botanicals play in flavour.
Then, cocktail maestros will deliver a hands-on, Bond themed ‘shaken vs. stirred’ class to prepare the ultimate Vesper Martini. A fully interactive experience, there’ll also be the opportunity to find out ‘which gin personality are you?’ and test those tastebuds with a blind tasting. The two-hour immersive experience is $80 and includes G&T on arrival, Vesper Martini, spirits flight, nibbles and a 200ml bottle to take home.
For those who are happy to watch from the sidelines, live jazz will create a Byron-esque festival style vibe all day alongside a food truck and free gin on the hour, every hour.
The team has also created a range of bespoke cocktails exclusively for the event, a favourite is sure to be the ‘Breakfast Martini’, a concoction of gin, orange liqueur, lemon juice and marmalade, served specially for the occasion. Now, we think that’s worth getting out of bed for!
Since everything is better in miniature sized (so you can have more), cocktail flights will be available with three classic cocktails including a negroni, martini and aviation.
Opened only 2 years ago, Manly Spirits Co. has become an iconic destination on The Northern Beaches crafting award-winning blends in ‘steam punk’ copper pot stills, better known as The Beaches’ Willy Wonka Factory. With its boutique operation and located only 15 minutes from Manly Ferry, the distillery has received international acclaim for its award-winning spirit.
