Remembrance Day at Manly Dam and Manly Corso

  • Manly Dam 112 King Street Manly Vale, NSW, 2093 Australia (map)

Friday, 9 November - Manly Dam & Sunday, 11 November - Manly

One hundred years ago on 11 November 1918, four bloody years of brutal conflict came to an end. Almost 62,000 Australians died fighting for our freedom and in service of our nation.

Remembrance Day commemorates the Armistice at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, marking the end of World War I and remembers all those who have suffered or died in wars and armed conflicts.

Northern Beaches Council is hosting two events to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armistice which ended the First World War (1914-18).

All members of the community are invited to attend, and there is an opportunity for the general public to lay private tributes.
