People the world over have fallen in love with the stunning and deeply personal images of Penguin the magpie and her human family.
But there is far more to Penguin's story than meets the eye.
Join husband and wife Cameron and Sam Bloom at Warringah Mall Library on Wednesday 15 November, 6.30 – 8.30pm, as they discuss their international best seller and 2017 illustrated book of the year winner, Penguin Bloom.
Penguin Bloom is the story of how an injured magpie chick came to be a symbol of strength and hope for Sam after she became paralysed. It is a unique journey of recovery and an extraordinary celebration of life.
This plucky little magpie reminds us all that no matter how lost, fragile or damaged we feel, accepting the love of others and loving them in return will help to make us whole.
Tickets for this event cost $5. Bookings are essential and can be made via the Library event page at northernbeaches.nsw.gov.au.
