Manly Jazz is first and foremost a music festival - a real celebration of sound. But it is also a celebration of Australia’s beach culture, good food, great times and especially that wonderful Northern Beaches vibe.
Held over the October long weekend (Sat 30 Sep - Mon 2 Oct) the internationally acclaimed Manly Jazz is back for it's 40th year! Known worldwide for its picture perfect location and the diversity of music it presents: from traditional New Orleans jazz to funk, Latin, fusion, blues, gospel, swing and roots.
See the Manly Jazz Program for details of the more than 100 free performances across four stages and indoor venues.
Director's Choice Concert - Sunday 1 October, 7.30pm
Eric Alexander and the Centenary Big Band
Come for a special one night only concert featuring Eric Alexander from the USA, one of the leading international talents of the modern tenor saxophone and the Centenary Big Band. Together they will perform a repertoire of music influenced by jazz legends Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Buddy Rich and Thelonious Monk. Purchase your tickets on line now.
Local restaurants, bars and live music venues are offering special dining and entertainment offers in the lead up to and during Manly Jazz.
Public transport is the best way to get to Manly Jazz. Regular ferries from Circular Quay drop you right in the heart of Manly while buses are available right across the north shore and northern beaches.
If you do choose to drive we suggest you park away from Manly’s town centre, particularly over the long weekend. Roads can become heavily congested and parking close to the event can be difficult.
