Join thousands of Francophones and Francophiles from Sydney and surrounding areas at Killarney Heights Public School’s oval for a great day of food, fashion, homewares, small vintage furniture, a historical re-enactment, music and rides, at the 14th annual French Market.
This year, the 1er d’Artillerie de La Marine Inc., a French naval artillery re-enactment group, will delight visitors with full Napoleonic uniforms and engaging historical displays. They will join 60+ stalls of professional merchants selling French items such as saucissons, foie-gras, pâtés and other terrines; macarons, croissants, baguettes; French cheeses; books, magazines, DVDs and Blu-Rays in French language; jewellery and fashion accessories inspired by French culture; French vintage small furniture and poster reproductions, and so on.
This, all while listening to some French music in the background. Rides, games and face painting will enchant the younger crowd. It promises to be a fabulous social or family outing!
The market attracts an estimated 7000 visitors per year, with everything raising funds for the French-English bilingual program at the school.
Entry is free - although a $2 donation per adult would be appreciated and would go towards helping in financing the French-English Bilingual Program at the school.
