Join in the fun and fireworks at Sydney Harbour Bridge for the opening night of the Chinese New Year Festival and take in spectacular lanterns at Circular Quay, this Friday – February 16.
Fireworks are launched at 8.15pm from barges in the harbour for the start of this Sydney festival that runs through to March 4.
While you are in Circular Quay, make your way to see the spectacular Lunar Lanterns which also open on Friday. Take a short stroll around Circular Quay to discover 12 larger-than-life animal signs of the Lunar zodiac.
Explore the Lunar Lanterns from Friday 16 February to Sunday 25 February. Exclusively designed by Australian artists, with Festival Curator Claudia Chan Shaw, the Lunar Lanterns tower up to 13 metres tall.
