Kids’ Art Adventures Creative Workshops

Every second Sunday, 10.30am–12pm

Hands-on workshop at the MAG&M inspire kids aged 5–11 to learn about photomontage, printmaking, sculpture, illustration and painting. Children are inspired through engaging with a range of exciting artists and artworks, learning about different art forms and mediums, and taking home a creation of their own.

In the morning, from 8:30-10:00am, the centre will host a free breakfast for local businesses. Over brekky and a coffee, businesses will find out what South Pacific Private does, as well as a talk on mental health and wellness in the workplace.

In the evening, a free event open to the community will provide insights on mental health concerns and addiction. Starting at 6:30pm and finishing at 8:30, refreshments and handouts will also be available.

Proudly supported by Transport for NSW, Spring Cycle attracts riders of all ages on bikes of all shapes and sizes, providing a unique opportunity to ride over and past Sydney's icons and landscapes. There are three rides, the Classic Ride, City Ride, and the Challenge Ride.
Managed by Bicycle NSW, the iconic routes begin in North Sydney before travelling over the Harbour Bridge, along the Cahill Expressway, through the Royal Botanic Gardens, into the Rocks and Pyrmont. The Classic and Challenge Rides continue through the picturesque suburbs of the Inner West and finish at Sydney Olympic Park.
The event celebrates cycling as a healthy, environmentally sustainable transport and leisure option.

7 Bridges Walk

The annual Cancer Council NSW Seven Bridges Walk covers 28km through some of the most scenic locations in Sydney Harbour.

The past 11 years have seen more than 100,000 walkers take part and raise over $4 million for cancer.

It’s not a race and everyone’s a winner. You can start at any of the seven event villages and walk clockwise around as much or little of the circuit as you like. As part of the festivities, you’ll find food, music and activities at each village.

This event is a great way to see Sydney, be part of something big, get active and raise funds for cancer research, support and prevention. Get your walking shoes on – let’s go!

The 2019 Parkes Elvis Festival program is filled to the brim with more than 150 unique Elvis-themed events that are sure to get you all shook up. The program includes much loved events; the headline Feature Concert Series, Northparkes Mines Street ParadeRenewal of Vows Ceremony, free ARTC Cooke Park Main Stage EntertainmentElvis Gospel Service, as well as a host of new programming designed to get revellers on their feet and shaking their hips.

Starting out as a small get together between like-minded Elvis fans in 1993, the Festival has grown today into an international renowned phenomenon, endorsed by the estate of Elvis Presley, Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc.

This year’s Festival theme is All Shook Up, celebrating Elvis' iconic song and all things '50s. Released in March 1957, All Shook Up quickly topped several American charts and became certified double-platinum and an instant jukebox hit. Dust off the pompadour wigs, shine those blue suede shoes, and get ready to rock and roll at this celebration of all things '50s!

The 2019 Parkes Elvis Festival will see the country’s best up and coming Elvis Tribute Artists converge on NSW’s Central West for five days of incredible live music. The preliminary round of the international Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest also returns in 2019, with leading Elvis tribute artists from Australia and abroad battling it out at Parkes Leagues Club. Officially endorsed by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc, the winner will represent Parkes in the Semi Final round of the 2019 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in Memphis, USA, during Elvis Week in August.

The Inaugural Lifeline High Schools Surf Challenge will be held at South Curl Curl Beach on Tuesday 18th September. High Schools from all over the Northern Beaches and North Shore will contest the tag team event with both Boys and Girls divisions being contested.

Sixteen-year-old Narrabeen Sports High student Ethan Raper is looking forward to representing his school. Raper recently won the Senior Boys Division at the Peninsula Community of Schools Surfing Titles. The Narrabeen Sports High Team is likely to include Raper, his younger brother Emerson, Jamie Thomson, Jack Bannister and Luke McManus in the five-man team.

More than twenty teams are expected to compete in the event offering a rare opportunity for students to represent their school in a tag team surfing competition.

Described as one of the most scenic and spectacular courses in Australia, the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival attracts around 33,000 participants annually.

In 2013 the Blackmores Sydney Marathon was the first Australian marathon to be broadcast live in 23 years. The popularity of the Sydney Marathon has attracted both international and local elite athletes and as a result in 2014 the Sydney Marathon achieved Gold Label by the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF).

The Blackmores Sydney Running Festival consists of four exciting events, all crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge with the Marathon, Half Marathon and Bridge Run (10 kilometre Certified) distances finishing at the iconic Sydney Opera House and the Family Fun Run (3.5 kilometre) at Sydney's prestigious Conservatorium of Music. 
Runners, joggers and walkers of all skill levels and ages will experience a challenge or a fun day out to explore the extraordinary scenic views of Sydney.
